Baseball Recap: Skipstone Academy Triumphs

Skipstone Academy won the last time they faced Trinity Christian School of Griffin and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors came out on top against the LIONS by a score of 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The team relied heavily on Carter Cook, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Bunn, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Skipstone Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Skipstone Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the LIONS: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
