Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Lancers vs. Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs

The Lakeside Lancers and the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lakeside is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Citrus Hill just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 29-20 to the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Coachella Valley entered their game against Xavier Prep on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Coachella Valley took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Xavier Prep. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mighty Arabs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Saints are ranked 793rd).

Coachella Valley's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
