After a string of four wins, McDonough's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Eagle's Landing Eagles by a score of 4-3. McDonough were not able to make up for their loss to Eagle's Landing from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Jaylen Smith and Ndamake Kassim Diarra scored all three of McDonough's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Eagle's Landing, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

McDonough will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. Eagle's Landing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
