Soccer Recap: Chico's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Chico and Maria Carrillo squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Chico had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Maria Carrillo Pumas by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Chico's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Maria Carrillo, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-8-3.

As of now, neither Chico nor Maria Carrillo have any future games scheduled.
