Basketball Recap: Coalinga Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Coalinga waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Lindsay Cardinals as they made off with a 54-32 victory. The Horned Toads have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Coalinga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaelyn Bourdeau led the charge by going 8 of 19 en route to 18 points along with six boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Bourdeau is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Davis, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and six assists.

Coalinga was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Coalinga's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Lindsay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Coalinga will be taking part in a tournament against Golden West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Golden West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lindsay, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-28 defeat against Mission Oak on the 13th.
