Baseball Recap: Atkinson County's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Atkinson County finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 14-1 to the Lanier County Bulldogs. The Rebels' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Aidan Meeks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. He is becoming a predictor of Atkinson County's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
