Softball Game Preview: Druid Hills Red Devils vs. Marist War Eagles + How To Watch

Druid Hills hasn't had much luck against Marist recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Devils will head out to take on the War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Northview hit Druid Hills with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils lost 9-2 to the Titans.

De'Shauna Riddick put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Marist came up short against Mill Creek on Wednesday, falling 8-1.

Druid Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Marist, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Druid Hills suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Marist when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
