Softball Recap: Holyoke Comes Up Short

Holyoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alamosa Mean Moose, falling 14-2. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mean Moose apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Holyoke saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Clapper, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Sarah Schlachter was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Holyoke's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alamosa, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Holyoke and Alamosa will both be playing Forge Christian the next time they take the field. The Mean Moose will head out to face the Fury at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Dragons will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
