Football Recap: Pine Crest Find Success

Pine Crest proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 39) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-12 victory over the St. Edward's Pirates. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 30-7 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Zach Moss was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 118 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Those 118 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Moss was just one part of a punishing run game: Pine Crest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Edward's only rushed for 91 rushing yards.

Pine Crest now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Edward's, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Pine Crest will venture away from home to challenge Westminster Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Edward's, they will welcome Okeechobee at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
