Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Garces Memorial

The Centennial Golden Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Garces Memorial Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Wednesday, neither Centennial nor Frontier could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Garces Memorial came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Eagles. Give Garces Memorial's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Karra DAmato, who's now up to eight this season.

Centennial's draw gives them a new season record of 5-10-3. As for Garces Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-1.
