Softball Recap: Wilkinson County Warriors vs. Georgia Military College Bulldogs
Wilkinson County had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-11 to make it eight. They lost 17-0 to the Georgia Military College Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on September 11th.
As for Georgia Military College, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
For Georgia Military College's part, Maddie Elder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Elder was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blakely Blackwell, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
