Softball Recap: Jefferson's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Jefferson extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-0. They came out on top against the Apalachee Wildcats by a score of 7-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 last Thursday.

As for Apalachee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked their highest-scoring game to date.

For Apalachee's part, Addisyn Hill made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those runs marked the first that Hill has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Askew, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will face off against Alcovy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Apalachee, they will be playing at home against Prince Avenue Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
