Basketball Recap: Makenzie Perez Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bonanza

Tulelake can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past the Bonanza Antlers 36-34. This was payback for the Honkers, who suffered a 44-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Tulelake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makenzie Perez, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Perez has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Alejandra Perez, who put up six points.

The victory got Tulelake back to even at 5-5. As for Bonanza, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

The future could be bright for both Tulelake and Bonanza: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Tulelake will try to hand Fall River their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bonanza will try to hand Lakeview their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
