The Desert Christian Knights entered their tilt with the St. Monica Academy Crusaders with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Desert Christian blew past St. Monica Academy 42-22. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Desert Christian has posted yet this season.
Desert Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Corynn Smith out in front who scored seven points along with 19 rebounds and three steals. Smith hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Jayde Mckinzie was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Desert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for St. Monica Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Desert Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Palmdale Academy Charter School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for St. Monica Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
