Soccer Recap: El Cajon Valley Comes Up Short

El Cajon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Monte Vista Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1181st, while the Monarchs are ranked 488th).

El Cajon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Monte Vista, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Grossmont the next time they take the pitch. El Cajon Valley will head out to face Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Monte Vista will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
