Softball Recap: Carrollton Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Carrollton's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Newnan Cougars a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carrollton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Newnan, they dropped their record down to 11-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Carrollton will take on LaGrange at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newnan, they will challenge Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
