Soccer Recap: Woodland Christian Falls Short of Esparto in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodland Christian can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Esparto Spartans on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat back in January.

Woodland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Esparto, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Woodland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Esparto, they are taking a road trip to challenge Big Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
