Basketball Game Preview: Germantown Red Devils vs. Munford Cougars

The Germantown Red Devils and the Munford Cougars, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Germantown is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Houston back in December of 2025 (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Red Devils were beaten by the Mustangs 71-39. The Red Devils have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Munford can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past First Assembly Christian 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 10, 2025.

Munford's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Germantown strolled past Munford when the teams last played back in January of 2020 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
