Football Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Creekside Christian Academy has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 24-13 to the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning on Friday. The Cougars gained 70 more yards on the day, but it was the Lightning that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Creekside Christian Academy lost, don't look at Ian Terrell. Despite the final result, he rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Terrell's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The critical scores for Lanier Christian Academy came from Asher Acton, William Martin, and Drew Kalinauskis.

Creekside Christian Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Lanier Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
