Soccer Game Preview: Salem vs. Greene County

The Salem Seminoles will head out to take on the Greene County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greene County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Salem, who comes in off a win.

Salem proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Redan 4-3. The win continues a trend for Salem in their matchups with Redan: they've now won four in a row.

Salem hit Redan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Modesto Yandel Martin Ramos (2), Arturo Garcia, and Joshua Kabwe.

Meanwhile, Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Washington-Wilkes, falling 5-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Greene County couldn't quite close it out.

Greene County's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Salem, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
