After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cascade Christian, Phoenix was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-19 win over the Klamath Union Pelicans. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Klamath Union still got an impressive performance from Reese Johnson, who threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Phoenix pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Klamath Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phoenix will challenge Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Klamath Union, they will face off against Modesto Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pelicans will be up against the Crusaders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
