Soccer Game Preview: Notre Dame vs. Harker

The Notre Dame Regents will square off against the Harker Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Notre Dame didn't have quite enough to beat Menlo School and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Regents can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Knights are ranked 154th).

Notre Dame was without their leading scorer, Victoria Diaz, in Tuesday's game. With Diaz sidelined, Madelyn Zuniga got her first action of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Harker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Claire Anderson had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Eagles.

Harker's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Notre Dame, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.
