Recap: Carson Colts vs. Hollywood Sheiks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Carson Colts had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Sheiks 56-24 at home. Carson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Madison Wheeler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.
Carson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Hollywood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.
Carson will square off against Van Nuys at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Van Nuys is coming into the matchup with seven straight victories on the road, so Carson is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Hollywood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
