Softball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mt. Zion Eagles, falling 13-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Izabella Aguilar was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Mt. Zion, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-9.

Coming up, Mt. Zion will be playing in front of their home fans against Pepperell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manchester will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Dragons, they'll take on Manchester again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
