Football Recap: Mountainside Piles Up the Points Against NFL yet Academy

Mountainside never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the NFL Yet Academy Eagles to the tune of 47-0.

Mountainside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clayton Brown, who rushed for 88 yards and three scores on only nine carries, and also caught one touchdown. Mason Lingenfelter was another key player, rushing for 81 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Another reason for the win was Mountainside's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Andrew Watkins was especially locked on to NFL Yet Academy's QB and sacked him twice.

The win got Mountainside back to even at 1-1. As for NFL Yet Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mountainside will welcome Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for NFL Yet Academy, they will take on Catalina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
