West Philadelphia is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing South Philadelphia: they outscored them in every quarter. West Philadelphia enjoyed a cozy 49-34 victory over South Philadelphia on Monday.

West Philadelphia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Victoria Williams, who went 5 of 9 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahkia Bundy, who posted six points and eight steals.

Meanwhile, Thomas A. Edison came up short against Paul Robeson on Monday and fell 45-34.

West Philadelphia will have to keep a close watch on Destiny Speach and Sarymarie Ruiz, a pair of players who had a big impact on Thomas A. Edison's prior game. Speach had 12 points, while Ruiz posted nine points.

West Philadelphia pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Thomas A. Edison, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
