Softball Recap: Kellyville Has No Trouble Against Booker T. Washington

Kellyville's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Booker T. Washington Hornets 11-3. Considering the Ponies have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kallie Martin and Lizzie Critser did most of the damage at the plate: Martin went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Critser went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those two hits gave Martin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liz Waltrip, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Kellyville now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Coming up, Kellyville will venture away from home to challenge Caney Valley at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will host Barnsdall at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday.
