Buffalo Grove and Barrington are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Bison will welcome the Broncos at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Buffalo Grove came up short against Schaumburg and fell 10-5.

Buffalo Grove got a good showing from Tyler Campbell, who struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Campbell has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rocco Perricone was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Lee, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Barrington waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Pirates 12-2. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Barrington's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Buffalo Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
