Softball Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Hebron Christian Lions
Collins Hill extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-3. They lost 14-4 to the Hebron Christian Lions. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Hebron Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.
For Hebron Christian's part, Ainsley Trenbeath made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Trenbeath a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Juls Huber and Gabby Raysor did most of the damage at the plate: Huber went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Raysor got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
