Victoria Hyatt leads a balanced attack to beat Los Altos

Recap: Shadow Hills Knights vs. Los Altos Conquerors

The Shadow Hills Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 62 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Los Altos by a score of 41-33. Given Shadow Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Los Altos is ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shadow Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Victoria Hyatt, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hyatt is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Skylah Archer was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.

Shadow Hills' victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Shadow Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Altos, they will head out on the road to square off against Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
