Baseball Game Preview: Webster Tigers vs. Bruce Red Raiders

The Webster Tigers will square off against the Bruce Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Webster: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Bruce has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.

On Monday, Webster came up short against St. Croix Falls and fell 12-9.

Meanwhile, Bruce won against Ladysmith on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Red Raiders walked away with a 9-5 win over Winter/Birchwood.

Ryder Rodewald made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rodewald was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tyler Stevens was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

Webster's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bruce, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
