Volleyball Recap: Old Lyme Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Old Lyme lost against Valley Regional back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 15-25, 25-11.

Maya LeQuire paced Old Lyme's offense, picking up 15 kills. LeQuire got some help from Kaylyn Vernon and her seven assists. LeQuire was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Old Lyme now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Valley Regional, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Old Lyme will face off against rival Coginchaug Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valley Regional is set to take on their familiar foe Hale Ray at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
