Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Academy Comes Up Short

Thomas Jefferson Academy was the 8-4 winner over Robert Toombs Christian Academy when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders on Tuesday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thomas Jefferson Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Thomas Jefferson Academy will face off against Gatewood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they will take on David Emanuel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
