Basketball Recap: Herlong Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Herlong unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 39-27 to the Big Valley Cardinals on Thursday.

Herlong lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaylie Adams, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kristina Young, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Herlong will head out on the road to challenge Chester at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Big Valley, they will take on Burney in a tournament on Thursday.
