Softball Recap: Okmulgee Comes Up Short

Okmulgee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Mounds Golden Eagles, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-3 loss on Thursday.

Okmulgee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-27. As for Mounds, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Okmulgee will face off against Sperry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mounds, they will challenge Chouteau-Mazie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
