Soccer Recap: North Murray Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

North Murray lost to Union County back in April of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The North Murray Mountaineers had just enough and edged out the Union County Panthers 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mountaineers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Panthers are ranked 100th).

The win (which was North Murray's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four matchups. As for Union County, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Looking ahead, North Murray will challenge Ridgeland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Murray is facing Ridgeland at the right time seeing as Ridgeland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Union County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Murray County at 7:30 a.m.
