Softball Recap: Lumpkin County's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lumpkin County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the White County Warriors. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 8-6 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Lumpkin County's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for White County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lumpkin County will head out to take on Stephens County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stephens County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something Lumpkin County will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for White County, they will face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
