Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Orestimba Warriors
Waterford has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Orestimba Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Waterford only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 30-point they dealt Delhi on Tuesday. Waterford blew past Delhi 33-3 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Waterford has posted since December 8, 2023.
Thalia Reyes was the offensive standout of the game as she scored four points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Munoz, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Orestimba can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 64-27 victory over Denair at home. Winning may never get old, but Orestimba sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Waterford's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Orestimba, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Waterford was dealt a bruising 54-14 loss at the hands of Orestimba in their previous matchup on January 4th. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Waterford was down 33-9.
