Sequoyah came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Sperry Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 20 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sequoyah's win bumped their record up to 30-8. As for Sperry, they dropped their record down to 18-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sequoyah beat the Pirates by a score of 9-6 on Thursday.
