Football Recap: Skipstone Academy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Skipstone Academy's offense. They were outmatched by the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning and fell 50-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Skipstone Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Skipstone Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cross Keys at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so the Lightning's offense will have their work cut out for them.
