The Mary G. Montgomery Vikings are taking a road trip to  square off against the Fairhope Pirates  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  contest red-hot, with Mary G. Montgomery sitting on  seven straight  wins and Fairhope on six.
On Friday, Mary G. Montgomery took their  matchup  with ease, bagging  a  42-8 victory over Bryant. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Hurricanes are ranked 110th).

Mary G. Montgomery got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kamron Smith out in front who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of  scores. The Vikings also got help from  Dj Broughton, who showed off his sure hands for 107  receiving yards.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Mary G. Montgomery proved: they limited Bryant to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The Vikings' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.
Meanwhile, Fairhope made easy work of Foley  on Friday and carried off  a  38-13 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21  points or more this season.
Fairhope's win came from a few key players Mary G. Montgomery will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Trey Garner, who threw for 217 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Fairhope's leading receiver  Fisher Southall was  Garner's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.

 Mary G. Montgomery strolled past Fairhope in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 by a score of  35-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
