Florence is 0-4 against Sand Creek since September of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Huskies will face off against the Scorpions at 10:00 a.m. Florence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Florence beat Woodland Park 12-9. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Addison Dalton was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Florence let Makala Miller and Kendra Steffenson run wild. Miller got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double, while Steffenson got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lilly Roe, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.
Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Sand Creek couldn't beat Falcon on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Scorpions came up short against the Falcons, falling 21-7.
Jaida Moody made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.
Florence's record is now 8-6. As for Sand Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Florence has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Sand Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Florence might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Sand Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
