Soccer Game Preview: Riverdale vs. Fowler

Riverdale is 0-10 against Fowler since December of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Riverdale Cowboys will host the Fowler Redcats at 4:30 p.m.

Riverdale is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Yosemite, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Cowboys have lost by exactly three goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Alexandra Diaz, who's now up to 20 this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fowler). They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over Parlier on Tuesday. The Redcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by four goals or more this season.

Fowler has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those seven matchups. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

Riverdale suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Fowler when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Riverdale was down 5-0.
