Softball Recap: Davenport Central Comes Up Short

Davenport Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the North Scott Lancers, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Thursday.

Davenport Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for North Scott, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Davenport Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Independence on the 28th. As for North Scott, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against North Linn on the 27th.
