Baseball Recap: Darlington Comes Up Short

Darlington extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 7-7. They came up short against the Bremen Blue Devils, falling 17-7. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-5 defeat on Friday.

As for Bremen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Bremen's part, Riley Galbraith made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Galbraith has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Nolan Sosebee was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Mincey, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
