The Arvada Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Forge Christian Fury at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Arvada can't be too worried about heading out to take on Forge Christian: they just beat Denver North at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Bulldogs blew past the Vikings 14-2 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Alyssa Moreno made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Moreno was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September.
In other batting news, Amiah Picaso was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs.
Arvada always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver North only posted an OBP of .238.
Meanwhile, Forge Christian hadn't done well against The Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fury were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Wildcats.
Forge Christian got a massive performance out of Kaedence Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Miller has launched this season. Peyton Chester was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one triple.
Arvada's record now sits at 16-3. As for Forge Christian, their record is now 17-3.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arvada hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .461. However, it's not like Forge Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arvada might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Forge Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
