Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pike County). They put the hurt on the McIntosh Chiefs with a sharp 17-4 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on six straight.

Pike County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for McIntosh, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Pike County will take on Callaway at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McIntosh, they will head out on the road to take on Banneker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Chiefs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
