Basketball Recap: Kaitlyn Servin and Destiny Martinez Secure Win for Stagg

Stagg won the last time they faced Chavez and things went their way on Thursday too. The Stagg Delta Kings strolled past the Chavez Titans with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. That's two games straight that the Delta Kings have won by exactly 14 points.

Leading Stagg to victory were Destiny Martinez and Kaitlyn Servin. Martinez posted 19 points along with eight boards and seven steals, while Servin almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. Stagg is 6-2 when Martinez posts five or more steals, but 5-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Janae Moreno, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and five steals.

The win made it two in a row for Stagg and bumps their season record up to 11-17. As for Chavez, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-25.

Looking ahead, Stagg will take on Franklin at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chavez, they will challenge McNair at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
