Softball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Oconee Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the George Walton Academy Bulldogs, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly eight runs.

Lake Oconee Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for George Walton Academy, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Oconee Academy will square off against Georgia Military College at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Walton Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Tattnall Square Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
