Football Recap: Ghafir Lampkins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sharon over Cathedral Prep + How To Watch

Sharon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cathedral Prep, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 43-41 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (35), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ghafir Lampkins, who threw for 184 yards and four TDs while completing 72% of his passes. Bishop Root was in the mix as well, providing Sharon with three scores.

DaZarie Carson was nothing short of spectacular for Cathedral Prep: he rushed for 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Davin Friedman, who threw for 208 yards and three TDs.

Sharon's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cathedral Prep, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sharon will venture away from home to take on Slippery Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cathedral Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
